Nowadays, as there are less apprentices, the grant is open to young people living in Oulton & Woodlesford studying for a trade, doing a modern apprenticeship or in higher education. Unfortunately, this does not apply to A level or equivalent courses.

The amount of money awarded changes each year, depending on how many applicants there are.

​

To apply for a grant you must be:

• In higher education or  teacher training.

• Aged between 16 - 25 years of age.

• Have a placement with a company.

You can apply for the grant every year that you are studying; a fresh application form should be submitted for each year of your course/apprenticeship.
